Rosie’s Diner was a kitschy spot in Rockford, Mich. until it closed in 2011. The dining car remains there today and reportedly sold in an auction in 2012, though it remains closed.

Originally the Silver Dollar Diner in New Jersey, the diner was used in several Bounty commercials featuring Rosie the Waitress. The diner was eventually renamed after the character.

Behind the diner is an abandoned minigolf course, filled mostly with food-themed concrete items. Overgrown and home to a few baby snakes slithering about, the course remains mostly in tact.

I just watched one of those crappy Travel Channel segments about Rosies this weekend. The owners had big plans. Maybe…a little too big.
